Small Groups

Find a place to grow in faith, build friendships, and serve.

Our Small Groups meet at various times throughout the week for Scripture study, prayer and fellowship. We journey together in intentional faith development and try to expose ourselves to different ideas and perspectives, meet new friends and grow in Christ. All ages and newcomers are welcome. See below for a listing of the various groups and their meeting schedules.

Women at the Well

Women’s Ministry at First Presbyterian Church

Our calling is to nurture spiritual growth in the women of the church.
This is reflected in the name of our ministry, inspired by the Biblical account of Jesus’s encounter with the woman at the well. Like her, we thirst for knowledge and deeper understanding of God, drawn to the source of Living Water that grows and sustains our faith.
To that end, we offer day retreats twice a year. Each has a theme uniquely designed for Christian women seeking fellowship, inspiration, a bit of learning and, of course, fun! Additional events will be happening in the future.

Monday Night Book Buds
Mondays, 6PM-Room 101

We take turns recommending books to read and study on a wide variety of spiritually-related topics.  Some of the books we’ve shared include:

The Comfort Stitchers
Thursdays at 10 AM

The Comfort Stitchers meet weekly to knit or crochet prayer shawls which are dedicated by the prayers of the congregation and given to those who are ill or grieving or just need to feel warmed and encouraged by the love of God and the church family.  Newcomers are always welcome!

Men’s Tuesday Noon Bible Study
Tuesday 12 noon - Room 101

We are always open to new and/or returning members.

We are currently studying “The Bible for Dummies,” which has been an interesting change to our traditional study format. We enjoy reading biblical history to gain a better understanding of each Book, Chapter and Verses. We use our study bibles to reread chapters and verses to stimulate additional discussion.

Wednesday 10 AM - Room 101

We are a Women’s Bible Study group built on a love of God’s word and each other. We are always open to new and/or returning attendees.
