Dear Members and Friends of First Presbyterian Church,

“Tell me a story!”  Perhaps you have heard a child say this at bedtime – wanting you to read a favorite tale from a book.  A story doesn’t always have to be in written form, though.  A story can be told with music, in a piece of artwork or a craft, or acted out – in a skit or just everyday actions.

Just like there are many ways to tell a story, there are many different stories to be told.  Each person is unique and has their own story; however, we are all a part of a bigger story – the story of God’s love.  As individuals, we are each a page in the book or a square in the quilt telling the story, with God’s Grace being the thread weaving us all together.  We are called to tell the story of God’s love, grace, justice, and reconciliation by all means possible – including the giving and sharing of our resources.

We ask that you prayerfully consider what your commitment in time, talents, and treasure will be during all times of the year; but we especially are asking for your financial response now as the end of the calendar year approaches.  FPCV wants to continue telling the story – not only on a local level, but also on a broader scale – and your generosity funds our daily operations as well as our many outreach programs.

Please fill out the pledge card and return it to church by/on October 25 or fill out the pledge form shown below.

We hope you will join our church family on Sunday, October 25 to celebrate being part of the story of God’s love and grace.
